You'll be joining a diverse and international team with teammates across the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and other parts of Latin America. We're a profitable, founder-led company with strong traction and serious clients--and the resources to back bold GTM moves. About the Role We're hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) who's obsessed with creating new business--through relationships, events, and presence in the right rooms. This role is 100% focused on outbound pipeline generation, not closing deals or managing accounts. You'll represent TECLA in tech ecosystems across the U.S.--with Texas, California, New York, and Washington being our primary markets--attending and organizing high-value events, building trust with engineering leaders, and handing off qualified leads to our recruiting team or CEO. You'll remain on the first call to ensure a seamless handoff, but your mission is to stay in the field, stay in motion, and keep new opportunities flowing. Frequent Travel Required This is a field-based business development role. You'll be traveling 2 -4 times per month to events and meetings across our primary markets (Texas, California, New York, and Washington). If you're not excited about airports, client dinners, and live networking--you won't love this job. What You 'll Do * Build a consistent pipeline of warm leads through in-person events, strategic networking, and targeted outreach * Represent TECLA at startup/VC events, developer meetups, and founder gatherings (expect 2-4 trips per month) * Organize and co-host curated private dinners, happy hours, and community events * Qualify leads and book discovery calls with our Recruiting Partners or CEO, then join the call for handoff * Follow up on early-stage conversations, then hand off ownership as deals progress * Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine targeting and messaging based on what you're seeing in the field You 're a Fit If You... * Are based in Texas (preference for Dallas-Fort Worth or Austin) and thrive in face-to-face, relationship-driven sales * Have 2-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or outbound sales * Have proven success generating business from in-person events and networking * Are a great communicator--on the phone, in person, in DMs, and in follow-ups * Are comfortable with frequent travel (2-4 trips/month to primary markets) * Are organized, self-directed, and thrive without daily micromanagement What We Offer $65,000 base salary Performance-based bonus structure tied to individual contribution On-target earnings (OTE): $95,000-$110,000+ Full remote setup with work-from-home equipment stipend Travel + GTM budget for events, meetups, and lead gen Paid time off Direct access to leadership and a real opportunity to shape our GTM engine When Applying...
