Full description of the position
The Sales Analyst will enhance sales productivity by providing critical insights through forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analytics. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner to diverse audiences. Responsibilities Reporting & Analytics * Proactively identify and deliver analytical solutions that support the sales organization. * Maintain and optimize data structures to enable in-depth analysis of sales performance by segment, territory, and key metrics. * Conduct variance analysis, comparing revenue and volume forecasts against previous projections and current budgets across entities, segments, customers, and products. * Manage mid-month and end-of-month sales reporting, including variance analysis and key insights. * Support sales enablement by providing actionable insights to sales teams. * Assist leadership with ad hoc analysis and strategic recommendations. Global Forecasting & Budgeting * Manage and administer sales forecasting tools within Salesforce, driving adoption and accuracy. * Track and analyze forecast accuracy over time to enhance predictive models and improve planning. * Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support forecasting and budgeting processes. * Partner with account managers to support strategic sales planning within their respective regions. Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field. * 2-5 years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, financial analysis, or a similar role in a B2B manufacturing environment. * Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Technical Skills * Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros), Power BI, or Tableau. * Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce (forecasting, reporting, and dashboard management). * Familiarity with ERP systems and data extraction for sales and financial reporting. * Strong understanding of sales metrics, pricing strategies, and financial modeling. Analytical & Business Acumen * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable recommendations. * Ability to perform variance analysis, forecasting, and trend identification. * Understanding of B2B sales processes, pricing strategies, and demand planning. Soft Skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data insights to various audiences. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
