*Looking to fill position as soon as possible, on-site training will be provided Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rental Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing rental agreements, assisting customers with their rental needs, and ensuring a smooth rental process from start to finish. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent phone etiquette, and the ability to negotiate effectively. As a Car Rental Sales Agent, you will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them select the right vehicles to suit their needs while ensuring they receive outstanding customer service. This role combines sales expertise, effective communication, and a passion for customer satisfaction. You will play a vital part in achieving sales targets and enhancing our company's reputation. Key Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in understanding rental options and policies. * Identify customer needs and recommend suitable car rental solutions. * Upsell additional services, such as insurance packages and roadside service. * Process rental agreements accurately and efficiently. * Handle customer inquiries in person and via phone in a timely and helpful manner. * Ensure the availability and cleanliness of rental vehicles for customers. * Collaborate with the team to manage inventory and ensure vehicle readiness. * Resolve customer complaints diplomatically and escalate issues when necessary. * Maintain a strong knowledge of company policies. What we're looking for * High School diploma or equivalent (college degree in sales, business or related field is a plus but not required) * Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the car rental or automotive industry. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. * Valid Drivers License * Enthusiastic and self-motivated * Detail-oriented and organized * Team player with a proactive attitude * Ability to adapt to changing situations and provide solutions. * Basic computer skills Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Schedule: * 4 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Holidays * Morning shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Experience: * Sales: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: * Portage, MI 49002 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Portage, MI 49002: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
