Full description of the position
Position Title - Homeowner Services Coordinator Summary Statement- Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton changes lives by building and preserving affordable homes for low-moderate income families in Clark, Greene, and Montgomery Counties. Since 1983, we have helped thousands of individuals preserve and achieve the dream of home ownership. Status - Non-exempt Reports to- Homeowner Services Program Manager Duties - Coordinates all services between Habitat for Humanity and the families we serve. Planning & Recruitment * Actively recruit partner families and family advocates * Represent Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton at fairs and other events to promote the home ownership program * Actively track success of recruitment efforts and application process for both partner families and family advocates * Assist Homeowner Services Program Manager in all aspects of screening and interviewing applicants Orientation and Training * Assist Homeowner Services Program Manager in conducting training of family advocates * Assist in the development and execution of homeowner workshops, curriculum, and all reporting Retention * Maintain regular contact with partner families through written monthly progress reports, budget counseling sessions, and sweat equity opportunities * Maintain positive relationships with family advocates by creating appropriate communication tools, following up with advocate concerns, and regularly providing opportunities for interaction with assigned partner family * Create, write and distribute quarterly homeowner newsletter. Processing * Answer all incoming calls to the organization and direct accordingly * Assist and greet all visitors and direct accordingly * Assist Homeowner Services Program Manager in maintaining timely and accurate records of homeowner class attendance, partner family progress, and advocate reports as required for use by staff and committees * Maintain accurate files of sign-in sheets and homeowner education pre/post-tests * Enter all family information into affiliate and national level databases Public Relations * Lead the planning, coordination and execution of groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies * Assist in the preparation and publication of written communications to stakeholders, including postcard invitations, newsletters, flyers, brochures, etc. * Assist in maintaining contact databases and affiliate portal Additional Responsibilities * Provide and contribute to a highly engaged work environment. * General office duties such as database input, email, telephone, and document filing. * Routinely works with a personal computer, telephone, copier, fax and scanner. * Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills * Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize the necessary software to complete job functions * Ability to work under firm deadlines with varied workflows * Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding service * Has good listening skills, builds strong relationships, is flexible/open-minded, negotiates effectively, and welcomes constructive criticism * Willingness to successfully complete job related training Hours of Duty/Attendance * This is a full-time position that may require working more than 40 hours per week.
