Sales Director Full-Time The Legacy Senior Communities is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and the parent of The Legacy Willow Bend, Plano's only Type A Life Care community, The Legacy Midtown Park- a Rental/Life Plan CCRC retirement community in North Dallas, The Legacy at Home- our home health and hospice agency, and The Legacy Senior Communities Foundation. The Legacy Senior Communities has been serving seniors and their families for over 70 years. The Legacy Willow Bend is the only Jewish-sponsored senior living community in Plano, and the only Type A life care community in the area. The Legacy Willow Bend is embarking on an interior common space renovation, and an exciting expansion- The Flats- which includes 30 luxury apartments each with their own garage and separate entrance, high-end designer finishes, and floorplans designed for open living and entertaining, The Sales Director at The Legacy Willow Bend is responsible for the successful operations of the sales department, which drives move-ins across Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Support. In addition, this role is responsible for marketing plan execution in tandem with the other departments at the Community as related to new lead generation events, outreach opportunities, depositor retention, etc. The Sales Director maintains appropriate levels of sales-related activities and drives results necessary to achieve the community's sales and move-in goals, continuously focusing on maximizing occupancy across the continuum. This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, but also serves on the community's leadership team. * Achieve sales goals for all levels of living through the successful management of leads within the database, new leads, referrals, and oversight of the sales team. * Direct the sales process from initial inquiry through move-in, ensuring an exceptional prospect/depositor/member experience. * Respond promptly to inquiries and requests for information, ensuring follow-ups meet established performance standards. * Ensure the team accommodates tours and appointments to best meet prospective residents and their families' needs and desires. * Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, families, and referral sources through regular touchpoints, personalized communication, and meaningful engagement. * Conduct thorough discovery and needs assessments to understand potential residents' goals and objections, tailoring solutions accordingly and based on their stage in the decision-making process. * Provide prospects with compelling experiences and community tours that highlight the value of Life Care plus the community's lifestyle, services, and benefits. * Effectively overcome objections. * Guide prospective residents and families through the decision-making process, offering thoughtful support and ensuring a seamless transition to move-in. * Ensure all required documentation (member agreements, financial disclosures, deposits, and signatures) is completed accurately and in compliance with policies. Leadership & Team Development: * Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet performance goals. * Supervise and manage the sales team, including scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, and workflow management. * Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and refine sales strategies. * Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Maintain a motivating and engaging environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth. * Set sales activity-related goals for yourself and your team to drive the right activity at the right time that keeps prospects engaged and moves them through the sales process. * Participate Sales Performance & Reporting: * Track and report key sales metrics (inquiry volume, tours, deposits, move-ins, conversion rates) to leadership. * Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and inform marketing efforts. * Ensure accurate data entry and CRM utilization for tracking prospect interactions and pipeline management. Community & Industry Knowledge: * Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge. * Maintain knowledge of pricing, contract structures, and financial options to effectively communicate with prospects. * Engage with residents and families to ensure satisfaction and gather testimonials for marketing efforts. Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 8 years of direct sales experience, preferably in a relationship-driven industry with a strong track record of exceeding sales goals. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior living sales and marketing (Life Care CCRC experience strongly preferred). * Minimum of 2 years of team management experience in a sales-focused environment. Sales & Communication: * Exceptional ability to connect with prospects, build rapport, and close sales effectively. * Strong oral and written communication skills for presentations, tours, and follow-ups. * Ability to proactively address concerns and objections in a professional and persuasive manner. Leadership & Team Development: * Experience managing, training, and developing a high-performing sales team. * Strong collaborative leadership skills to foster teamwork and accountability. Marketing & Outreach: * Expertise in event planning, networking, and referral-based sales. * Ability to develop strategic marketing initiatives tailored to a luxury senior living audience. Financial & Analytical Skills: * Strong ability to interpret financial information and discuss pricing structures confidently. * Proficiency in using a CRM system to track leads and manage the sales pipeline. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis. Personal Attributes: * Self-motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented with a commitment to excellence. * Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * A positive, professional, and compassionate approach when working with seniors and their families. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or special events as needed.
