Job Overview The Release of Information (ROI) Account Manager plays a critical role in managing the secure and compliant release of patient health information. This position is responsible for overseeing daily team operations, ensuring productivity standards are met, and maintaining adherence to contract requirements and company objectives. A key aspect of this role is fostering a positive and motivational team environment that supports staff engagement, performance, and professional growth. The ROI Account Manager is also tasked with upholding the highest standards of patient confidentiality in alignment with state and federal regulations. This is a full-time, salaried role based primarily at a prominent teaching hospital on Chicago's South Side. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift; however, flexibility is required to occasionally support second shift hours and weekend coverage. Occasional travel to a secondary site in the southern suburbs may also be necessary. Responsibilities include: * Performs all duties associated with supervising a team including but not limited to: interviewing, training, performance evaluations, monitoring production, performing quality assurance audits, discipline, ensure required annual compliance training, timesheets/payroll and staff meetings. * Plan, organize, prioritize, problem solve, and execute in equal measure to meet goals and achieve results that meet contractual turnaround time (TAT) and quality guidelines. * Work directly with other departments within the client site such as patient relations, legal and compliance. * Understand all hands-on processes and perform as needed to cover for staffing shortages, absences and / or in times of high workloads. * Serve as a liaison between MMRA and the customers. * Ensure completion of employee annual compliance training & facility mandated requirements and employee access to necessary systems. Qualifications: * Education: High school graduate (REQUIRED) or GED college graduate (REQUIRED). * Previous supervisory/management experience - REQUIRED. * Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel - REQUIRED * RHIT/RHIA credentials - PREFERRED * Previous doctor office, HIM or ROI experience - REQUIRED * Demonstrated leadership abilities. * Proficient technical aptitude. * Strong customer service skills * Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to adjust message according to audience. * Capable of working within, fostering and growing a strong team in a fast-paced environment. * Protect and maintain the confidentiality of patient's medical records and patient information while handling patient information with discretion and integrity. * Displays courteous and professional manner through interaction, appearance, attitude and communication with co-workers and the public. * Working knowledge of MS Office If you are passionate about building relationships, driving success, and contributing to a collaborative team environment, we encourage you to apply for the Account Manager position today!
