JOB TITLE: Director of Sales and Marketing POSITION PURPOSE: Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will lead the sales and marketing efforts to drive revenue and maximize profitability for the hotel. The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the overall operations of sales and marketing of the hotel, leading and overseeing all aspects of Sales, Revenue, Catering and Conference Services, Marketing and property-based PR, and for developing and implementing strategies to maximize sales, revenue, destination, and product awareness through all segments. With a strong focus on sales generation, this role functions as the strategic business leader to uncover, prospect and sell group and individual business, in accordance with the objectives established in the marketing plan and budget, and assigned market segments. EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years hotel sales experience required within the luxury/lifestyle hotel environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Demonstrated progressive career growth managing multiple direct sales reports. Previous experience as DOSM strongly preferred. EDUCATION: Hotel Management degree preferred * Excellent organizational skills * Professionally spoken, written, and comprehension of English * Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and public/media relations. * Proficiency with financial statements COMPENSATION: Wage Range is $120,000 - $140,000 annually and is based on applicable experience and work history.
