Full description of the position

JOB SUMMARY*:* The Aviation Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth through identifying new sales leads, developing business relationships, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES _The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a job incumbent. An employee will be required to follow other job-related duties required by the manager. _ 30% - Identifies potential clients in the target market and completes appropriate research on the prospective clients' business needs. 30% - Develops relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships. 20% - Utilizes knowledge of market trends and sales techniques to present innovative ideas and solutions to potential clients. 10% - Negotiates and closes business deals that promote sustained revenue growth. 10% - Collaborates with the sales team to ensure that requirements are met. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES * Proven track record of success in Aviation business development, sales, or account management * Strong understanding of Aviation OEM, DOD, and MRO operations * Demonstrated ability to negotiate, close sales deals effectively, and meet and exceed sales targets * Excellent customer service and account management skills * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software * Willingness to travel as needed EDUCATION/TRAINING/LICENSES * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred * Must have a valid driver's license PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT * Works predominately at office desk: carrying out both manual and repetitive arm hand and finger movements regarding computerized data entry and data processing tasks. * Job requires verbal contact with and listening to internal and external stakeholders in both a one-on-one and group setting. * The job requires use of hands to finger, handle, feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. * The job requires the ability to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times each month. * Job requires walking or standing often and may include periodic bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing in and around aircraft and other vehicles. * Works in environmentally controlled work area with adequate lighting. * Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. * Mental activities necessary include concentration, mathematical accuracy, organization, and communication skills. * May require personal safety equipment such as hearing and eye protection in PPE specified areas. * Travels (including airline travel) periodically to customer sites _The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
