Full description of the position

Summary*: Plans and directs all aspects of division's objectives, initiatives, policies and strategies for marketing, retail sales, retail service, market research and analytics, public relations, communications and website. Liaison to the GVTC Foundation. Oversees the retail sales function, ensuring the departmental employees, company pricing and sales plan are organized to achieve maximum sales volume and profitability. Develops and oversees the marketing functions and analytics, identifies key marketing outlets, brand awareness, corporate image and competitive strategies. Coordinates customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth in all residential, commercial, business and enterprise service areas. Develops and oversees all aspects of retail customer service and order process in order to meet company's high standard and positioning statement of "Superior Customer Service' and 'Dominating the Competition'. Responsible for gathering and analyzing market research. Develops and oversees the public relations and communications (internal and external) functions to ensure a positive image and proactive partnership in the communities being served. Confers and collaborates with Business Development to manage and expand to new markets in support of the company's approved strategic plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: * Oversees acquisition and retention of commercial business, enterprise and residential accounts. Maintains and expands existing business in business/ commercial/ enterprise and residential areas. * Makes significant contributions to the strategic business plan for market growth and penetration, including assisting in new business development activities, product development, pricing and deployment in conjunction with development of an annual strategic, sales & marketing divisional plan with supporting business case and pro-forma. * Develops and manages annual revenue forecast with core focus on unit (RGU) sales, as well as sales of ancillary (noncore) products, and in conjunction with the Product and Business Development Teams, with VP approval. * Meets or exceeds all revenue and unit sales monthly goals. * Develops divisional expense budget with VP approval. * Oversees all inside and outside residential, commercial business and enterprise sales channels that work to generate leads, qualify prospects, close opportunities, cultivate new opportunities, and negotiating customer contracts for both business and residential sales. * Oversees customer quality assurance program for the Sales & Service Consultant function. * Develops, executes and maintains strategic sales and marketing plans with VP approval. * Develops, executes and oversees advertising/promotion campaigns companywide and manages the cost effectiveness of all campaigns and promotions by measuring and tracking Return on Marketing Investment . * Responsible for company's overall corporate image with VP approval. * Oversees retail customer service function and related sales activities to ensure superior customer service in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. * Directs company-wide communications and public relations activities. * Interacts with other executive level personnel. * Leads the Penetration Task Force (PTF) and acts as liaison between Finance and Sales and Marketing to ensure expense efficiency and acquisition of profitable customers in accordance with the approved strategic plan. * Sponsor and strategic oversight of the GVTC Foundation to include adherence to company strategies, direct involvement and support of the Foundation Board and its community-related activities with VP approval. * Monitors new product technologies and assist Product, Marketing and Sales with implementation of new products in the marketplace, and their effectiveness in meeting budget and profitability goals. * Oversees development of key financial metrics and related operational controls for core business operations of the division. * Acts without prior approval for divisional affairs and responsibilities as outlined. * Oversees the development and management of all sales commission plans to ensure they are market-based compensation structures that are cost effective based on revenues and margins produced, with VP oversight. * Divisional responsibility for market research and analysis. * Oversees Market Analyst responsible for providing recommendations for strategic planning related to core products, new services and customer behavior using standard research and analytical techniques. * Develops and directs the business development activities including Residential, Business, and Enterprise activities, with VP approval and in collaboration with the Business and Product Development departments. * Builds, develops, and maintains key business relationships with customers, key business partners, and community leaders to assist in new business development and building a solid reputation for the company within the community served and the industry in conjunction with the Business Development Department. * Participates in community economic development organizations. * Accepts & manages all projects and strategic plans in a positive team approach in concert with company goals, objectives & missions. * Works to collaborate with and provide support to the Business Development with company's territory expansion projects. * Oversees all aspects of the company website and apps, with VP approval. * Responsible for all Divisional contract renewals. * Oversees company Builder Program. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to oversee the management of key corporate projects within the division. * Familiar with customer service operations and call center reporting. * Familiar with new product development, pricing, expansion of core markets. * Familiar with tariff development and administration or regulated products. * Strong budget and P&L Management skills. * Analytical abilities to evaluate key business metrics and commission/sales cost paybacks. * Experience with the creation and maintenance of sales commission structure(s). * Excellent leader, communicator and presenter. * Advanced knowledge of market data and analysis. * Knowledge of telecommunications products and services including voice, data, security, video, commercial, business and enterprise products. * Planning and budgeting. * Direct responsibility for corporate and departmental strategic planning. * Skills in managing personnel, customer relations, and projects. * Excellent writing, negotiating, speaking and organizational skills. * Ability to manage and evaluate processes and process improvements. * Familiar with public relations and effective internal and external communications programs. * Ability to develop strong personal and community relationships with key decision makers, political figures and media personnel * Ability to oversee key divisional projects. * Ability to direct, develop and manage marketing plans to maximize awareness and drive profitable sales that meet the approved strategic plan. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent, MBA preferred; degree in data analytics preferred; minimum eight (8) years proven sales and marketing leadership experience. Eight (8) years' experience in telecom network, products, and/or equipment sales preferred. Language Ability*:* Ability to read, write and comprehend high level instructions and short correspondence. Reasoning Ability*:* Ability to deal with and solve problems using solid judgment skills. Technical Skills*:* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Project Management, and Business Process Planning and Analysis. Supervisory Responsibilities*:* Divisional responsibility for retail sales, marketing, customer service, public relations, communications and website. Sponsor of The GVTC Foundation.
