The Sales Representative / Regional Manager (SR) at NOREX is a proactive, self-motivated professional focused on identifying and securing new business. This role involves executing a structured sales process, qualifying potential Members, building relationships, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets. Success requires strong communication skills, a talent for networking, and a deep curiosity about technology. SRs excel in purposeful listening, storytelling, and problem-solving, enabling them to engage IT leaders and demonstrate the value of NOREX's unique community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Planning & Accountability: Execute a systematic approach to planning, holding themselves accountable for meeting sales targets, including:
- Developing and executing a structured sales plan, prioritizing target prospects, setting milestones, and generating opportunities.
- Maintaining and advancing a qualified pipeline by prioritizing prospects in the company database (GrowthZone) and leveraging multiple lead sources.
- Tracking progress against the sales plan, adjusting strategies as needed, and proactively reporting significant changes in opportunities. Following the Sales Process: Follow a structured sales process to secure commitments, ensuring solutions align with prospects' needs and drive NOREX's growth by:
- Researching and identifying ideal prospects, leveraging multiple sources like referrals, website leads, and industry insights.
- Engaging prospects through phone, email, and LinkedIn, sparking meaningful conversations and securing discovery meetings.
- Documenting key prospect insights, tracking interactions, and using gathered intelligence to prioritize follow-ups and opportunities.
- Assessing prospects based on business potential and alignment with NOREX's services, filtering out non-ideal candidates.
- Asking strategic questions to uncover current situation, desired situation, business drivers, challenges, and decision-making criteria to position NOREX effectively.
- Clearly communicating NOREX's value proposition and competitive advantages, handling objections and positioning solutions as essential for business success.
- Aligning NOREX's services with stakeholder needs, present pricing and terms, and bringing in internal team members as needed.
- Securing commitments, creatively addressing objections, creating urgency, and collaborating with leadership on complex negotiations.
- Setting clear expectations for onboarding and engagement, ensuring a seamless transition from prospect to Member. Collaboration / Member Onboarding: Facilitate a smooth transition to the Member Success Manager (MSM). This transition will include:
- Participating in kickoff meetings to review Member details, address questions, and ensure a seamless transition.
- Following up with new Members to answer questions, enhance satisfaction, and occasionally assist with membership renewal discussions.
- Engaging in internal meetings and training sessions to share insights gained from Member interactions, refine strategies, and strengthen team effectiveness. Networking / Knowledge Building: Networking is a critical responsibility, as building meaningful connections can open doors to new opportunities, strengthen the brand's reputation, and uncover potential leads. This will include:
- Engaging in IT-focused online communities, forums, to connect with prospects, and stay informed on industry trends and development.
- Attending NOREX virtual events building relationships with existing members to generate referrals and testimonials. Sales Administration: Manage data, sales activities, and support operational tasks to ensure an efficient and organized sales process, which includes:
- Submitting timely and accurate sales plans, pipeline / opportunity updates, and forecasts to the Sales Leader, ensuring alignment with goals and effective tracking of sales progress.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in consultative direct sales with proven track record of generating quality leads.
- Strong hunter mentality, adept at positioning value-added solutions, active listening, relationship-building, and delivering compelling presentations.
- Skilled in understanding business impact, fostering stakeholder trust, and applying creative problem-solving with a growth mindset.
- Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and leveraging social media for outreach.
- IT industry knowledge is a plus.
- Self-directed, goal-focused, and collaborative, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
