The Director of Sales, Aerospace acts independently as NTi's point of contact for sales within aerospace global markets or with assigned customer accounts. Collaborates cross-departmentally to develop customer and aerospace- specific sales strategies and operates as customer-service point of contact for Norsk Titanium ("NTi"), responsible for timely and accurate communication of the day-to-day execution and fulfillment of NTi deliverables. In a typical day, your expertise: * Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the application of NTi technology in existing and emerging aerospace markets * Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and potential customers, acting as the Company's representative to the aerospace market * Continuously promotes and maintains positive working relationships with customers, potential customers, and suppliers to achieve the best exposure in the market, ensuring all customer needs are actively pursued and addressed * Provides technical and application support for relevant application-opportunities * Acts as primary customer representative for all activities, including critical responsibilities of: * Business Development * Strategic Account Management * Customer Engagement * Fulfillment responsibilities * Provides effective leadership and guidance to the leading initiatives to address performance; activity planning; recruitment, retention, and succession planning; headcount needs and scheduling; employee engagement and satisfaction; etc. for team members under scope of responsibility * _This position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))_ We're thrilled to find candidates with: * Bachelor's or master's degree within the aerospace field * 15+ years related working experience in sales and/or purchasing in aerospace markets, preferably with an experience in closed forging and/or casting industries and some awareness of additive manufacturing; 5+ years of experience successfully leading a team * Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue * Strong business acumen and the ability to develop and implement sales strategies, * Knowledge of supplier processes with aerospace OEM or Tier 1 companies and experience in manufacturing qualification processes * Knowledge of US Department of Defense Acquisitions processes, where required * Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 product distribution environments and expectations, preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams; Strong verbal, written and formal presentation skills * Fluent mastery of English language * In-depth knowledge and experience in the use of integrated database systems and computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite tools, specifically, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access Other competencies critical to success include: * Proactive, self-driven and eager to learn * A door-opener with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with ability to build relationships with customers and maintain a large network * Able to work independently in a structural manner, take initiative and complete processes * Ability to work collaboratively with others to direct and support goal-oriented activities in a matrix organization * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and support the Company's strategic objectives * Demonstrated critical thinking and business acumen application * Strong combination of technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills; excellent interpersonal "savvy" and astute emotional intelligence * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate project and information across the corporate spectrum and as appropriate for the target audience * Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately in a dynamic environment * The ability to read and apply Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work and Work Instructions * Willingness to adhere to and promote the NTi values of gld, collaboration, creative curiosity, trust, respect, and integrity Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
