JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to generate top-line sales and develops target markets. Plans and implements the marketing sales and service of DAVCO products to OEMs and end user customers by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Manages Sales and Marketing to effectively meet business plan targets. - Establishes and implements plans to achieve or exceed yearly business plan sales revenue targets. - Establishes and maintains relationships with on-highway OEM's, engine manufacturers, ATMUS Filtration and key distributors/dealers. - Contacts and develops relationships with key end user customers. - Develops new market opportunities. - Establishes required product marketing strategies and support material. - Develops and recommends new products and pricing strategies to maximize profitability and produce the highest possible long-term market share. - Responsible for product service requirements and customer product support. - Monitors competitive products and marketing activities. - Maintains and supports an active cross-functional team approach to projects and problem solving. - Forecasts operating costs of department, directs preparation of budget information, and meets yearly cost targets. - Develops and coordinates implementation of training for his/her respective reports. - Ensures department meets any criteria associated with certification for the IATF16949 program. - Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Bachelors Degree in business, management, technical or equivalent experience. - 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible sales experience. - 5 to 7 year's management/supervisor experience. - Significant technical product sales background. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Diesel engine and/or diesel vehicle equipment experience - Strong computer skills (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel). - Budget experience. - Quality experience. - Experience working in a team environment. LANGUAGE SKILLS - English PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands/arms, talk and listen. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Extended time may be required working on a computer. Travel up to 50% required. May require weekend and/or evening work. May be required to lift/move up to 35 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT Non-smoking, clean manufacturing facility with cross-functional empowered teams.
