Higher/top pay given to top candidates Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales (JBYS) is seeking a multi-talented, full time Volvo and/or Mercury certified technician to join our team of service technicians at our Holland, MI or Chicago, IL location. Hours are 7AM-4PM Monday through Friday with overtime as required. Overtime is mostly required during spring and fall for launch and haul seasons as well as intermittent delivery events. We offer very competitive pay and competitive benefits. JBYS services and repairs new and used Sunseeker, Viking, Princess and Absolute yachts, as well as many other makes and models. Job Description: Job Duties: * Diagnosis, estimate, repair and maintain: Volvo diesel engines (D6-D13 series) and/or Mercury outboards (450/600 series) * Perform warranty repairs, bulletins, updates, etc. on Volvo and Mercury equipment * Submit warranty claims to warranty department and continually follow up with status updates and procedural changes * Provide accurate estimates for services or repairs as necessary * Ensure all estimates are submitted to Service Manager for approval * Communicate/coordinate with customers, manufacturer reps, warranty department personnel, technicians, vendors, salesman and others as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and reasonable repair times * Experience with Volvo Partner Network and MerNet is a must * Perform other equipment diagnosis and repairs on boats ranging from 40'-74' as necessary Other Details: * Travel required, approx.. 3 days per week depending on season. * Out of state travel required for training events and/or vessel delivery approx. 1-3 times per year * JBYS provides service vehicle and fuel card * All travel costs and expenses paid for by JBYS * Must have your own professional tools Wage : Top wage considered for the right candidate.
