Full description of the position
The Phoenix Staffing is now hiring for a talented Apartment Industry Staffing Manager for our Dallas office located at 7600 Chevy Chase Dr Austin, TX 78752. This is an office position, not remote. Driving is required. We have been awarded by the National Apartment Association Best Places To Work for 2021 and 2022 and 2025. The Phoenix Staffing is based in Las Vegas with offices in Phoenix, San Antonio, and Dallas. We work with all of the Austin area apartment communities in providing the best available talent for Administrative Assistants, Receptionists, Customer Service Reps, Leasing Consultants, Assistant Community Managers, Community Managers, Regional Property Managers, Resident Service Managers, Porters/Grounds, Maintenance Technicians, Make Ready Technicians, Maintenance Supervisors, HVAC Service Technicians and Regional Maintenance Supervisors. We prefer at least 3-5 years of Community Manager or higher experience from within the apartment industry or equivalent in staffing/recruiting. You must have experience with interviewing that is 80% of this position. We offer a great base salary and commission plan and with the potential of Austin, should be over $75,000k+. Recruiting and Staffing Duties: Responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining employees for our apartment community, management companies and industry partners. Business development for active, inactive and prospect clients Maintain client satisfaction Retain active accounts Conduct sales activities to drive branch/unit growth Acting as local experts in the industry; consulting with local businesses on market trends, salary recommendations and talent availability Recruitment of top candidates based on focus job title to fill talent pipeline Skill marketing permanent placement candidates to prospects and clients Manage administrative duties including background checks, employee onboarding, file auditing, weekly payroll. Manage the scheduling and logistics of all applicant interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Ensure internal I9 compliance and conduct associate personnel record audits. Establish best practices recruiting and placement procedures and design and manage career center internet site and resume database. Communicating with employees and clients with placement details and follow up. Control all weekly payroll transactions to ensure that staff members are paid accurately and on time. Coordinate logistics; provide administrative and technical support for training sessions and meetings. Leverage online recruiting resources & in house ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates. Ensure all staffing processes and activities are compliant with EEO, OFCCP, immigration and legal requirements. Participate in the design and implementation of staffing and recruitment policies and procedures. Provide corporate classroom instruction on apartment leasing techniques, fair housing, and training matters as directed. Prepare and submit job requisitions with detail descriptions, customize to attract quality candidates. Facilitate leadership and diversity training courses. Assist managers with manpower planning and employment decisions. Provide counsel to management on interviewing techniques and employment law regulations. Provide counsel to management on effective hiring, performance and disciplinary decisions. Attend local, state and national apartment association networking functions and events.
