In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment, particularly within grocery stores. Responsibilities * Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. * Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively. * Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions. * Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash register. * Maintain a clean and organized sales area, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. * Provide excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or concerns. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the overall customer experience. * Communicate effectively with customers in both English and Spanish (if bilingual) to ensure clarity and satisfaction. Qualifications * Previous experience in sales or retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting. * Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions. * Ability to conduct engaging product demos that capture customer interest. * Proven upselling skills that contribute to increased sales performance. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse customers. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. * Bilingual proficiency is a plus but not mandatory; candidates who can communicate in multiple languages will be favored.
