Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Used Car Manager to oversee our dealership's used vehicle operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive sales and customer service, with the ability to negotiate effectively and manage a team. This role is essential in ensuring that our used car inventory meets customer needs while maximizing profitability for the dealership. Duties * Manage the daily operations of the used car department, including inventory management and sales strategies. * Develop and implement effective sales techniques to drive used car sales. * Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers to ensure satisfaction and profitability. * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Collaborate with the finance department to facilitate loan processing and assist customers with financing options. * Train and mentor staff on sales techniques, customer service best practices, and dealership policies. * Maintain accurate records of vehicle sales, contracts, and customer interactions using 10 key typing skills. * Analyze market trends to adjust inventory levels and pricing strategies accordingly. Experience * Proven experience in a dealership environment, specifically in used car sales or management. * Strong mathematical skills for contract negotiations and pricing analysis. * Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for both the dealership and customers. * Familiarity with loan processing procedures; experience as a loan officer is a plus. * Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients quickly. * Basic math proficiency is required for handling contracts and financial transactions.
