Job description We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a large property in Anaheim to become a part of our team! You will assist the Property Manager in planning and facilitating all financial and operational facets of the community in compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities: * Accept, record and deposit rent payments (Accts Receivables). * Serve/post legal notices. * Attract new tenants by marketing available units through social media, management software and other advertising platforms. * Show available apartments. * Screen and verify new applicants. * Ensure information is entered into property management software (AppFolio) accurately. * Investigate and resolve tenant complaints. * Enforce all property rules and regulations. * Ensure all work orders and repair requests are processed in a timely fashion. * Act as onsite supervisor in the absence of the Property Manager. * Appear at court proceedings for unlawful detainers/evictions if needed. * Prepare leases for new move-ins and renewals. * Assist with coordination and scheduling of work with vendors. * Work closely with manager and staff to coordinate and host resident events. * Compose a monthly newsletter for residents. Qualifications: * Minimum 2 years of previous experience in property management. * Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases. * Knowledge of local, state and federal laws (Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant Laws, OSHA, etc.) and best practices. * Ability to build rapport with tenants and vendors. * Ability to multitask and prioritize. * Competency in MS Office, Appfolio or other management software * Excellent interpersonal and business written and verbal communication skills. * Must possess a positive and friendly attitude towards all customers and other team members. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (On Call as needed) Compensation: This position starts between $27-$29/hour and $35 cell phone allowance.
