Company Background: Steam Cleaners, Inc. is the largest distributor and service center for pressure washers, steam cleaners, parts washers, and water reclaim systems. We are a family-owned business that has been servicing California for over 60 years. Job Description: Our company is looking for an outside sales representative to be responsible for selling industrial cleaning equipment to existing accounts as well as new accounts in a specified sales territory. The sales representative will be expected to generate leads and meet monthly sales goals. A successful sales representative will need to have a comprehensive understanding of the sales process. While a background in the product range is not required, it is critical that the sales representative develop an understanding of the products and how they function. Outside Sales Representative responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following): * Cold calling potential customers by phone and visiting in the field * Visiting existing customers and providing excellent customer service * Evaluating needs of potential clients * Generating leads * Providing product demonstrations in the field * Preparing quotes and proposals for potential customers * Answering customer questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability * Obtaining deposits and payments from clients in line with company policies * Meeting/exceeding sales goals while providing excellent customer service * Providing product training for customers * Preparing weekly sales and lead reports * Attending trade shows and representing the company * Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs * Differentiating our products and services from competitors * Following all company policies and conducting oneself in a safe, professional manner Outside Sales Representative requirements: * At least 5 years of experience in outside sales (including cold calling, lead generation, etc.) * High School Diploma (4-year accredited college degree ideal) * Understanding of sales cycle * A commitment to excellent customer service * Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills * Competency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint * Self-motivated, excellent time manager * A commitment to maintaining a safe environment for themselves, customers, and co-workers * Compensation: The Outside Sales Representative will be paid a base salary plus commission. The base salary will be determined based on experience. There are benefits and retirement plans available after a probationary period.
