Charleston Marine LLC is seeking a parts counter associate with strong customer service skills for our new location. You will need a familiarity with boats and the mechanics of outboard motors, computer skills, and a grasp of mechanical concepts. This position will interact with customers in person and on the phone. Assisting customers in selecting and sourcing parts from multiple different vendors as well as working with the service team to provide parts for service work in progress. This positions requirements are very specific to the marine industry so we will be providing substantial on the job training, so the applicant needs to bring a strong work ethic and a passion for boating. Benefits offered: * Competitive salary * Paid time off * 401 (K) * Paid holidays Shift: * Day Responsibilities * Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment for parts and supplies. * Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and cash handling while providing exceptional customer service. * Assist customers with inquiries, offering expert advice on parts and services. * Maintain organized displays and ensure the cleanliness of the sales area. * Collaborate with team members to enhance sales strategies and improve customer satisfaction. Qualifications * Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and sales * Proficiency in inventory management and control, including POS systems * Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers * Mechanical knowledge and understanding of diagnostics * Ability to manage stock effectively and fulfill orders accurately Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42,500.00 - $52,000.00 per year Schedule: * 8 hour shift Application Question(s): * Do you have any mechanical experience, such as working on cars, lawn equipment, or outboard motors, and this doesn't have to be professional experience at a shop, personal experience qualifies as long as you can provide examples of your skill set.
