As an established retail Wine and Spirits store for over 30yrs, we are currently seeking energetic and friendly individuals who excel in providing outstanding customer service and have the willingness to learn and excel. This is for a part-time job, but depending on work performance, it can lead to a full time position. We are looking for people who : - Are able to work in a fast-paced environment, accommodating and communicating to a broad range of clientele with varied needs. - Are able to collaborate and work within a team environment. - Are proactive, approachable and solution-focused. - Have an upbeat, friendly and professional demeanor. - Are punctual and dependable. - Have a flexible schedule with availability on weekdays, weekends, and the days around holidays. - Must have prior Retail Wine, Spirits and Beer experience (minimum 2 years preferred). Under the direct supervision of the Manager, the ultimate role of the Store Associate is to provide fast, friendly and efficient customer service . To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty below at an above average level: Duties : - Integrity in cash handling - Understand inventory control - Have experience with using a POS (Point of Sale) System - Maintain the store's housekeeping and presentation standards - Deliver excellent customer service at all times; in person or over the phone - Represent the company in a professional and conscientious manner - Support the company's mission, vision and values - Follow instructions and comply with all policies and procedures - Answer customer's questions and provide information on policies and procedures - Assist customers with product information and location - Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements - Verify proper ID for all age-related purchases - Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registers - Receive payments and maintain accurate record keeping of signature receipts - Maintain the company's housekeeping and presentation standards - Stock shelves, fill displays, and ensure crisp merchandising standards (be able to lift 30lbs) - Dusting and cleaning of display racks, shelves, fixtures and wrap stand area - Promote a safe working environment and ensure that all safety procedures are followed - Perform other duties as assigned or required - Must have a valid driver's license Work Remotely * No Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $16.20 per hour Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Paid time off Shift: * Day shift * Night shift Ability to Commute: * Chicago, IL 60621 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Chicago, IL 60621: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
