Full description of the position
Position Overview: The AES Inside Sales Engineer serves as the company's technical expert and client solution consultant for high and ultra purity specialty gas equipment, services, and solutions. The Inside Sales Engineer will assist customers by designing and selecting solutions to meet application and industry requirements.This role collaborates daily with an expansize internal engineering team and requires a strong mechanical engineering aptitude, a solid project management foundation, a knack for problem solving, and a positive and customer-centric personality. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR RELATED TECHNICAL DEGREE. Responsibilities: * Develops high and ultra high purity gas delivery systems and solutions based on the needs of the customer * Project management of complex systems and projects from time of order, through design, submittal, purchasing, manufacturing, delivery and final startup * Collaborates with mechanical, systems, and controls engineers to generate specifications for systems to meet the application needs of their industry and requirement * Develops detailed and accurate quotes, submittals, and BOMs for customers * Builds positive and proactive relationships with customers over the phone and through correspondence while working to solve challenging problems and deliver customized solutions * Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems * Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers * Provides expertise and support to additional sales team members to communicate products, services, and client needs * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences. * Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite * Computer-aided design software experience preferred * MRP/ERP Systems experience a plus Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required * As least two to four years of technical product or sales experience preferred Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. * Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the industrial facility.Applied Energy Systems, Inc
