About the Position: The Director of Business Development position is responsible for the coordination of planning, development, and implementation of the facility's strategic marketing plan. This position provides leadership, supervision, and guidance for all sales and marketing activity. Coordinates the development and maintenance of contracting and proposals for service and supervises hospital public relations activities. Requirements: Requires at least two years of progressive management experience. Requires strong skills in negotiation, collaboration, creativity, and diplomacy. Requires strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Knowledgeable and familiar with the Joint Commission, Dept. of Mental Health, CHAMPUS, Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care requirements. Ability to act professionally in high stress situations and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, regulatory agencies, etc. using strong interpersonal communications skills. Ability to exercise professional independent judgment in planning own work, formulating recommendations and making decisions. Must be able to work on multiple computer platforms and needs to be familiar with Microsoft Office products. Prefer BA/BS degree in Marketing, Administration, Human Services or related field with three to five years' experience in a marketing department or relevant leadership role, preferably in the healthcare industry. Any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
