The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all aspects of the leasing process, from contacting prospective tenants to showing units to periodic inspections of actively leased/ empty Units. As a successful Leasing Consultant, your goal is to achieve and maintain high occupancy rates and maximize profitability for the complex. Responsibilities * Advertise vacant properties * Show units to prospective tenants and inform them of all available amenities * Qualify prospective tenants using background checks and references * Accept rental payments and provide receipts * Maintain deep knowledge of the local market and housing trends * Negotiate leasing terms and close deals * Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned * Follow all Equal Housing Opportunity guidelines, local laws, and company policies Qualifications * Proven working experience in property management * High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred * Property Management or Real Estate experience preferred * Deep understanding of real estate law and leasing practices * Up-to-date on the local real estate market * Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills * Experience with property management software preferred
