JOB SUMMARY The Vice President of Business Development for our MRO operation plays a crucial role in driving new business development, generating leads, and ensuring effective sales follow-up. This role requires extensive knowledge of the commercial aircraft MRO aftermarket, coupled with a proven track record in business development. The ideal candidate should possess adept negotiation skills, particularly in navigating complex financial transactions. The Vice President of Business Development will be expected to travel extensively, cultivate existing aviation MRO industry relationships, explore new opportunities, and secure sales. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization in the aviation sector. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: New Business Development: * Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the aviation MRO sector. * Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client base and market share. * Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry. Lead Generation: * Utilize various channels to generate high-quality leads, including networking events, industry conferences, and online platforms. * Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and market trends. * Collaborate with internal constituents to create targeted campaigns aimed at new customers. Sales Follow-Up: * Proactively follow up on leads and inquiries to convert prospects into customers. * Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns. * Provide timely and accurate information regarding our services. Industry Knowledge: * Stay updated on developments and trends in the commercial MRO industry. * Possess a deep understanding of aviation MRO practices and regulations. * Use industry knowledge to effectively position our offerings and differentiate them from competitors. Negotiation: * Lead negotiations with clients to close deals and secure contracts. * Navigate complex financial transactions with confidence and professionalism. * Ensure that agreements are mutually beneficial and align with company objectives. Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities. * QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a technical field preferred. * Experience - Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, aviation MRO industry experience required. Proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets. * Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) - Possess existing aviation MRO industry relationships and knowledge of aviation MRO operations is required. * Negotiation Experience - Strong negotiation skills with experience in handling complex financial transactions. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES The individual must possess the following strengths: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Flexibility to travel extensively. * Positive work attitude * Excellent job performance in productivity and quality * Commitment to maintain a culture of safety. * Dedication of attendance COMPUTER SKILLS * Must have a strong Proficiency in MS Office. * Experience with ERP systems such as Corridor, Quantum, SAP, etc. * Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software a plus. POSITION LOCATION: * Extensive travel is required for this position. * Hybrid: Remote & onsite location - Victorville, CA. NUMBER OF PEOPLE SUPERVISED: None. However, this could change according to company business needs.
