Job Summary: The Leasing Consultant is responsible for the profitable operation of the apartment community, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the Community Manager. Key skills required include effective communication, handling multiple tasks under pressure, and dealing with the public in a professional manner. This Leasing Consultant role covers properties Orange County, Long Beach ranging from Westminster to Anaheim and Santa Ana, Long Beach. The position will require travel between these locations to manage leasing duties, show apartments, maintain relationships with local businesses and apartment locators, and provide excellent customer service across all properties. It is essential to be flexible and organized to handle the responsibilities at multiple sites while ensuring the properties are maintained and the leasing process is smooth at each location. Skills & Knowledge: Success in this role requires experience in leasing multi-family properties, knowledge of fair housing laws, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. The role also requires effective communication and a focus on safety. Major Duties & Responsibilities: * Manage lease agreements and collect deposits. * Ensure model and target apartments are ready for showings. * Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of office and property. * Stay informed on lease terms, rental rates, and property amenities. * Develop and maintain relationships with apartment locators and local businesses. * Conduct competitive property analysis. * Assist with resident retention and renewals. * Handle resident requests, complaints, and delinquent rent collections. * Maintain accurate resident and property files. * Seek personal development and educational opportunities. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED, with 1-3 years of related experience. * Strong communication, writing, and mathematical skills. * Ability to follow detailed instructions and handle problems with standardized solutions. * AppFolio knowledge Physical Demands: The role requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Visual and physical abilities like close vision and depth perception are necessary.
