Full description of the position

The National Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's national sales strategy. This high-impact leadership role requires a blend of strategic thinking, people development, sales execution, and hands-on mentorship. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of exceeding revenue goals and driving high performance through scalable systems and clear accountability. Provide strategic leadership to regional and branch sales teams to achieve and exceed national sales targets. Prepare and deliver detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts to executive leadership Implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement in sales performance and accountability. Serve as Interim Manager for branches as needed, offering stability and consistent leadership. Partner with Training & Development and ownership to develop sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives. Monitor national sales performance and metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities. Conduct regular travel to branches to deliver training, mentorship, and support to sales teams. Lead the national traveling sales team, ensuring goals and standards are met across all markets. Sales Team Expectations: In addition to leadership responsibilities, the National Director is expected to understand, support, and model the core activities and expectations of our sales representatives. Which Include: Mastery and enforcement of the company's proprietary sales process. Oversight of individual performance metrics. Ensure reps use CRM tools effectively for tracking and communication. Support consistent engagement through internal communication platforms. Encourage ongoing learning and accountability through training resources and performance feedback loops. *Required Skills & Experience: * 7+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in construction, roofing, or a comparable B2B service industry. Proven ability to lead multi-location or national teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Exceptional communication and leadership skills; a mentor and motivator by nature. Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven decision-making. Strong business acumen with the ability to align sales strategies with broader company goals. Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 50%) to branch offices and field locations. Experience managing inside and outside sales reps with diverse experience levels.
