Full description of the position
*Solutions & Business Development Analyst Chicago, IL This position requires a desire for success, strong work ethic and aspirations for career development in real estate, and the aptitude to handle complex transactions. Team based role, which will require interaction with owners, C-Suite executives, and high level corporate real estate decision makers. This position will report to the Executive Director of Sales, supporting the Sales and Solutions team (75% of allocated time) along with the Division President (25% of allocated time). A successful candidate must be articulate; completely detail-oriented and have the ability to directly interface with key client representatives. Sales and Solution Support(75%) * Support the sales leaders in qualifying new business relationships and taking initiative to outreach to new leads (cold calls, warm calls, emails, etc.) * Research on potential clients to support the qualification process; client profile development (leadership and executive team backgrounds, board-to-board connections, history and future growth, organization objectives) * Support with deal qualification: validating deal details against target client criteria (e.g. size, scale, relationships, future growth, brand) * Pipeline development: support each sales leader in updating the internal reporting system for new, existing and prospective clients * Business development and solutions support - support to BDM on managing SMEs, meeting minutes, action tracking, document proofing, organizing RFP documents, data collection and processing, final hand off from sales to operations * Work with senior leaders on new business proposals, support the preparation of proposal summary books and create new business presentations * Work with the sales and solutions team to develop materials for clients (e.g., RFI; capabilities presentations; etc.) * Shadow senior leaders in presentation, negotiation, evaluation, and documentation of opportunities * Provide new and existing clients with industry and market specific information as it relates to their business and maintain contact information on prospects * Review and understand financial models, cash flow projections, and valuation models Operations Support for COO (25%) * Support for the divisional operations team by providing sales information for quarterly meetings, target lists, won-and-earned in year, remaining goal * Support the divisional operations team in analytics, status against growth goals and client success stories * Liaison with the divisional operations business intelligence team to curate specific reporting and analytics to support the sales pursuit process Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate, and excellent academic credentials required; prefer a Masters degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate * Preferred previous experience in corporate real estate, consulting or finance; understanding of real estate fundamentals is a plus * Demonstrable success in sales production * Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables * Must be well-spoken and possess strong presentation and effective business-writing skills * Impeccable organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills * Ability to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced work environment * Able to multi-task, work successfully within set time frames and effectively manage time and workload * Self-starter, capable of maintaining a high energy level and being a team playerJones Lang LaSalle Incorporated
