Assistant Property Manager We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic real estate team in the Greater Reading Area. This role supports the efficient management of residential properties by assisting with leasing activities, tenant relations, and property maintenance. Additionally, the Assistant Property Manager will gain exposure to real estate development functions such as financial analysis, budgeting, and project coordination. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities * Assist in day-to-day property management, including leasing activities, tenant relations, and property maintenance coordination. * Handle tenant inquiries, process lease agreements, and ensure compliance with regulations. * Support financial and administrative functions such as tracking invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. * Conduct market and site assessments, review architectural plans, and assist in due diligence for new property acquisitions and development. * Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure timely maintenance and project completion. * Maintain office operations, organize meetings, and handle documentation related to property and construction management. * Collaborate with the property management and development teams to support leasing efforts, marketing initiatives, and financial reporting. * Ensure adherence to safety and compliance regulations, including construction and zoning requirements. * Utilize property management software for tracking work orders, tenant communications, and financial transactions. Qualifications * Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks, and property management software (or ability to learn). Familiarity with office equipment, CMMS software, and financial reporting tools. * Understanding of leasing processes, tenant relations, compliance regulations, and property maintenance best practices. Experience drafting lease agreements and legal notices. * Basic knowledge of financial documents such as budgets, balance sheets, and P&L statements. Skilled in bookkeeping, record-keeping, and analyzing financial and operational data. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally handle tenant inquiries, disputes, and conflict resolution. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to assess situations, analyze data, and make sound decisions in the best interests of the organization. * Strong teamwork skills, with experience working both independently and cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
