With a rapidly expanding portfolio across secondary and tertiary urban markets along the East Coast, PMC is seeking a dedicated Leasing Agent for its Hartford portfolio due to recent and planned growth. Job Overview Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring tenant satisfaction. This role requires strong sales skills, knowledge of property management, and the ability to negotiate effectively. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with current and prospective tenants while promoting our properties. Responsibilities * Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants. * Utilize Yardi software to manage tenant applications, leases, and property information. * Assist in the leasing process by preparing lease agreements and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and regulations. * Provide outstanding customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Implement upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates and enhance tenant satisfaction. * Collect rent payments, security deposits, and application fees in a timely manner. * Collaborate with the property management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations. * Conduct quarterly market surveys to assess local rental trends. * Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, including contracts and correspondence with tenants. * Conduct move-in inspections to verify that all maintenance and cleaning are complete prior to tenant arrival. Qualifications * Previous experience in property leasing or real estate is preferred. * Strong sales skills with a proven ability to negotiate effectively. * Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships. * Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
