Edmond, Oklahoma Retirement Community seeks positive, experienced Sales Counselor to join our on-site sales and marketing team. We are seeking an experienced sales professional to create a results driven independent living occupancy through relationship building by connecting with prospects, families and outreach referral sources. General duties for this position include: * Works collaboratively with entire team to answer telephone inquiries, schedules visits, conducts tours and closes sales as per sales and marketing goals. * Plans and coordinates lead generating events in partnership with entire team. * Builds relationships with prospects and identifies ways to build professional referrals as well. * Manage the sales process guiding prospects/families through their search process with post referral follow-up. * Uses knowledge gained during discovery process with prospects to guide them in appreciating the benefits of independent living. Candidate will also use independent judgment and creativity to address objections and barriers presented by prospective residents. * Implements various sales strategies based on relationship with prospective residents and knowledge of their retirement living goals. * Frequently communicates with persons other than the prospect who are involved in the decision process such as adult children, financial advisers, care givers, etc. * Develops strategies to manage assigned leads and grow prospects in ways that lead to appointments and sales. * Utilizes marketing database software for all aspects of sales function from first inquiry through sale. * Utilizes report functions in database to gather and analyze data and effectively manage lead base. * Independently identifies various call strategies based on available data in database to segment and work active leads. * Manages and prioritizes own work schedule - meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals. * Documents and implements process improvements and uses appropriate processes to accomplish objectives and goals. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor. * The successful candidate will have at least 1 years senior living sales or relavent experience to include Independent Living, assisted living, memory care or long term care experience. Candidate will also bring documented sales success in the field with a proven track record built around great efficient organizational sales skills. Exceptional telephone skills as well as follow up abilities. Working Conditions Standing, Sitting, Walking Frequent Standing and WalkingLifting 1-20 lbs., Frequently and 20-50 lbs., Occasional to Frequent Computer Work, Typing Frequently Bending, Reaching, Grasping Frequently Squatting, Kneeling, Climbing, Crawling Occasionally to Frequent as needed. This position is not a typical 8 hour shift position, this is a supervisor position that may require work to be completed after 5 pm or on weekends and/or holidays as needed. The successful candidate will have at least two years senior living sales experience to include Independent Living. Candidate will also bring documented sales success in the field with a proven track record built around great efficient organizational sales skills.
