Western Flyer is seeking an Insides Sales Associate to assist in booking freight on a daily basis. Ideal experience is Inside Sales within a 3PL or Transportation company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in booking freight, working closely with our 3rd Party Brokerage. * Responsible for working with 3 PL brokers to book freight on a daily basis * Searching Load Boards for new freight * Must communicate efficiently and professionally with Fleet Managers and Customer Service Representatives * Data entry of loads and freight into company system * Responsible for understanding customer service / communications expectations and proactively working with Load Planning and Fleet Management to prioritize the meeting of expectations * Proactive communication with Western Flyer Express customer base * Must be driven and competitive * Responsible for input and appointment setting/modifications of loads booked * Maintain compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures * Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, colleagues and managers * Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) * Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service * Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices * 1-2 years of transportation experience preferred * Physical Requirements: * Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. * Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards * Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone DISCLAIMER:_ The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this classification.
