Role: Director - Aerospace & Defense Locations: Austin, TX | Orlando, FL | Irvine, CA Reports to: Associate Vice President (AVP) Position Overview We are looking for an energetic and strategic individual to take on the role of Aerospace & Defense Sales Director and drive business development and innovative engineering solutions within the Aerospace & Defense sector. This position requires someone with strong industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for thinking outside the box. Key Responsibilities * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Aerospace & Defense industry. * Identify and capitalize on transformative opportunities by leveraging industry trends and client strategies. * Lead strategic discussions on the application of new technologies and business models. * Create and present innovative engineering solutions aligned with business objectives. * Ensure that solution designs align with intended business outcomes. * Engage senior business and engineering leaders to support solution implementation. * Facilitate executive-level workshops, strategic roadmaps, and solution-focused sessions. * Assist with account planning, pipeline development, and strategic growth initiatives. * Monitor relationship health, competitive activity, and progress towards key goals. * Develop strategies to expand the company's presence within accounts and outperform competitors. Ideal Candidate Profile * Experience: A total of 12-18 years of experience, including 5-10 years in the U.S. Aerospace & Defense sector. Exposure to international markets (Europe, India) and global organizations is a plus. * Sales Success: Demonstrated success in selling complex engineering or technology services within the Aerospace & Defense domain. * Strategic Planning: Ability to understand industry dynamics and develop forward-looking strategies. * Consultative Selling: Experience in providing tailored solutions through collaborative and insight-driven approaches. * Executive Communication: Strong executive presence and the ability to engage and influence CXO-level stakeholders. * Analytical Thinking: Proficient in identifying challenges and opportunities, analyzing data, and making strategic decisions. * Relationship Management: Proven ability to build impactful relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams. * Business Acumen: Understanding of business metrics, financial drivers, and organizational decision-making processes. Minimum Qualifications * Experience in selling engineering or technology services to Aerospace & Defense organizations. * Familiarity with global delivery models, including onsite/offshore structures. * Proven track record of exceeding growth and revenue targets in a consultative sales environment.Sterling St James LLC
