Overview We are seeking a passionate and creative Design Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their design needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their spaces. Your expertise in design principles, along with your strong communication and sales skills, will be essential in delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate client visions into reality. We are growing and looking to add a motivated, creative Design Consultant to join our team! Duties * Collaborate with clients to assess their design requirements and preferences. * Utilize design software and tools to create visual representations of proposed designs-- including decks, porches, patios, and outdoor structures. You'll meet with prospective clients, develop design concepts, create detailed proposals/estimates, and guide them through the sales process. * Provide expert advice on materials, colors, and layouts to achieve desired aesthetics. * Manage the sales process from initial consultation through to project completion. * Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the design process. * Negotiate project terms and pricing while maintaining strong client relationships. * Conduct outside sales activities to generate new business opportunities. * Maintain accurate records of client interactions and project progress. * Upsell additional products or services that align with client needs. * Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in design. Requirements * Proven experience in a sales or design-related role, preferably in construction or exterior design * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively. * Ability to negotiate terms and close sales successfully. * Basic math skills for accurate pricing * Experience in account management is a plus. * A creative mindset with a passion for design and aesthetics. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Willingness to learn about new products and design techniques. Over All Process * Meet with clients (at their home or in our office) to understand their outdoor living needs and style preferences * Develop creative design concepts and preliminary layouts for decks, patios, sunrooms, pergolas, and other structures * Prepare accurate estimates, scopes of work, and project proposals using company software (training provided) * Present designs and proposals to clients with professionalism and enthusiasm * Maintain strong product knowledge (decking materials, railing systems, hardscape options, etc.) * Communicate effectively with our internal production team to ensure project handoff is clear and complete * Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while maintaining high client satisfactiom * Compensation: * 25,000 Base Salary + Commission Structure Benefits: * Paid time off- 2 weeks * 7 paid holidays * Expected total earnings potential: $75,000 - $100,000+ annually (based on performance and commission earn) * Company-provided leads + self-generated leads/connections encouraged * Opportunity to grow within an expanding company * End of Year Bonus opportunities available * Training and professional development * Company events and team outings Join us as a Design Consultant where your creativity meets client satisfaction!
