Full description of the position

We seek a dynamic, results-oriented Sales "Hunter" with a proven track record in the perishables industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the New York market and have established relationships with key customers, particularly within shipping, import, and export sectors. This role will focus on expanding our client's customer base and driving sales of their fresh perishable products, including fish, fruits, vegetables, dairy, and more. Responsibilities: * Strategic Hunting: Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within the New York market. * Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, with a focus on shipping, import, and export clients. * New Business Acquisition: Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company's market share and penetrating new market segments. * Product Expertise & Client Support: Provide expert product knowledge and support to customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships. * Performance Tracking & Achievement: Meet and exceed weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). * Efficient Order Management: Manage sales orders efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. * Detailed Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions. * Strategic Customer Acquisition: Leverage existing customer relationships and industry connections to drive new business. * Extensive Market Networking: Build and maintain strong connections throughout the New York perishables market. Qualifications: * Proven Hunting Experience: Proven experience in sales within the perishable goods industry (fish, fruits, vegetables, dairy, etc.). * Deep Market Connections: In-depth knowledge of the New York market and established relationships with key customers, especially within shipping, imports, and exports. * Aggressive Sales Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve sales targets. * Excellent Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. * Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. * Strong Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. * Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. (Many Clients in LAM) * Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel within the New York TriState- area as needed. (Mileage and T&E will be expensed.)
