Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product completion and creation, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. This role requires strong communication skills, a basic understanding of retail math, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Must be reliable. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. * Operate the cash register efficiently, processing transactions and handling cash with accuracy. * Demonstrate product features and benefits to encourage upselling and enhance customer satisfaction. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers. * Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store procedures and customer service standards. * Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and inventory management. * Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas. * Engage with customers to gather feedback and improve service delivery. Requirements * Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers. * Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and performing retail math calculations. * Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus. * Ability to demonstrate products effectively to enhance customer engagement. * Supervisory experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential. * A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent service are crucial for success in this role.
