Essential functions * Prospect and qualify new sales leads * Track all sales activity in the company CRM and keep current by updating account information regularly * Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and current customers * Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions * Meet and / or exceed sales quotas * Local representation at industry association and client events Competencies * Provide outstanding customer service and demonstrates that the customer always comes first. * Displays a positive, constructive, "can do" attitude. * Uses sound judgment and discernment skills. * Takes ownership for one's own performance, and is actively engaged in becoming proficient at their job. * Ability to understand how one's tasks and responsibilities are related to other departments, the company business, and the local flooring industry. * Works diligently and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. * Projects maturity and professionalism. * Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Strives to proactively identify potential problems and offers or suggests effective solutions Education and Experience levels preferred: * 1+ year of experience in Outside Sales, Business Development, or Account Management. * Flooring Experience preferred * Must have reliable transportation, strong time management and organizational skills. * Have & maintain a valid Driver's License & Auto Insurance * Technologically proficient, including e-mail, tablets, smartphones, applications, etc. * Highly motivated, focused and target driven with a proven track record in sales. * Excellent selling, listening, communication, and negotiating skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $60,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
