Overview We're looking for a highly motivated, strategic, and client-focused Account Executive to join our Client Services team in the fast-paced world of tradeshow marketing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about building client relationships, and is eager to grow in leadership and revenue-driving responsibilities. Job description Storylink is a brand engagement and creative agency located in the Twin Cities. We design and build custom brand engagement exhibits, digital assets and activations. As an Account Executive , you will act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring flawless execution, strategic alignment, and measurable business results. This role reports to the Director of Client Services and will manage high- level client relationships (Pillar Accounts). This involves the development and understanding of tradeshow marketing efforts and requires the ability to drive project execution. Approximately 20-40% travel. Duties & Responsibilities Client Relationship Management * Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring clear communication and trust at all times. * Translate client needs into actionable briefs and guide internal teams toward successful execution. * Develop deep understanding of client industries, goals, and key performance indicators to proactively offer insights and solutions. * Lead regular client meetings, status updates, and post-event debriefs. * Negotiate & Craft Master Service Agreements & Contracts in partnership with clients, Storylink Creative Senior Leadership and Legal. Project Oversight & Strategy * Coordinate with client stakeholders, at a strategic level, all aspects of tradeshow programs, including booth builds, experiential activations, asset development, and logistics. * Partner with creative, production, and logistics teams to ensure deliverables meet strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets. * Development of strategic presentations, pitches, and creative briefs. * Analyze post-event results and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Revenue Growth & Business Development * Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to drive incremental revenue. * Support new business efforts by contributing to RFPs, pitches, and prospecting strategies. * Maintain awareness of client budgets and ensure proper financial tracking and reporting. * Collaborate with leadership on forecasting and goal setting for account growth. * Maintain and update CRM Database Leadership, Mentorship & Accountability * Mentor junior team members (e.g., Account Coordinators and Account Managers), supporting their professional development and knowledge of best practices. * Take initiative in solving problems and guiding team collaboration. * Demonstrate strong accountability for assigned client programs, timelines, budgets, and results. * Represent the agency with professionalism, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence. * Conduct financial project reconciliations and recommend/assist in the optimization of internal processes to ensure targets are met What Success Looks Like: * Strong client satisfaction and retention * Measurable growth in revenue across managed accounts * Demonstrated leadership in team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration * Contribution to new business wins and account expansions * Consistently proactive, committed to excellence, and detail-oriented work ethic Requirements Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. * 7+ years of client-facing experience in experiential, event, trade show, or marketing agency environments. * Proven experience managing large-scale marketing programs from planning through execution. * Familiarity with B2B marketing and trade show industry standards and practices is highly desirable. * Experience and comprehensive understanding of Sales best practices such as sales pipeline stages, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), marketing automation and opportunity ROI.
