Job Overview Smith Farm And Garden is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in driving sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. We are one of the largest retailers in Oklahoma of Outdoor Power Equipment. The quality brands we sell are: Stihl, Honda, Toro, Echo, Scag, Hustler Turf, Wright, and Shindaiwa. The pay is hourly plus commission from some manufacturers. We are looking to replace one of our sales people who retired after 40 year and another one that is set to retire soon after almost 30 years with Smith Farm And Garden. Duties * Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience. * Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that meet those needs. * Utilize upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. * Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively inform customers. * Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays. * Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. * Support store operations by adhering to company policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Skills * Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. * Proficient in cash handling and retail math for accurate transaction processing. * Experience with POS systems for efficient sales processing. * Ability to upsell products effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction. * Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. * Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries or appointments professionally. * Previous experience in retail sales is highly desirable.
