Great Western Trailer (GWT) is immediately hiring a full-time Tank Technician to service semi-trailers at our Oklahoma City, OK, location. As a Tank Technician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain tanks in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and ASTM regulations. * Be a part of our team - Apply now! * What 's in it for you? * Weekly Paychecks - Get paid on time, every time. * Weekday Schedule - Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (No weekends!). * Comprehensive Benefits Package - Health, dental, vision, and life insurance. * 401K, Flexible Spending & Health Savings Account options. * Paid Time Off & Sick Leave - Enjoy work-life balance. * Employee Perks - Discounts and an Employee Assistance Program. * Who We 're Looking For GWT is looking for hardworking individuals who are: * Quick Learners - Able to follow instructions, ask questions, and grow their skills. * Team Players - Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or collaboratively. * Focused & Detail-Oriented - Committed to safety, quality, and accuracy. * Tank Technician Responsibilities * Inspect, Service, and Repair: * Tanks and trailers to ensure compliance with FHWA, FMCSA, DOT HM183, and hazmat standards. * Pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, product pumps, and piping. * Various overfill systems (Scully, Civacon, Flotech, Titan Logix, and Garnett). * Air brake lines, couplers, tanks, valves, dome lids, sensors, shoes, drums, pads, and rotors. * Low voltage wiring, couplers, harnesses, lights, batteries, and charging systems. * Chassis, side-shell, caps, doors, retainers, fasteners, floors, and plates. * Perform preventative maintenance on trailers of all types. * Installation, Welding, and Fabrication: * Install add-on components (toolboxes, pumping systems, ladders, brackets, etc.). * Perform aluminum, steel MIG & TIG welding (including confined spaces). * Fabricate hydraulic pump systems and other custom components. * Wreck repairs and sheet metal/paint finishing. * Quality Checks & Reporting: * Complete Mechanic 's Service Reports. * Prepare FHWA and HM 183 Testing Paperwork. _ Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be changed or assigned at any time._ * Required Qualifications: * Minimum 1 year of experience servicing tank vehicles. * Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. * Own a personal set of hand tools. * Strong mechanical knowledge of semi-trailer equipment and repair tools. * Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and welding equipment. * Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to follow manufacturer & company guidelines. * Overtime as needed only. * Preferred Qualifications: * CDL License (a plus, but not required). * 3+ years of experience servicing tank vehicles. * Industry certifications (Tank, ASE, or welding certification). * Bilingual (Spanish) - a valuable asset. * Physical Demands & Work Environment * Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.). * Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and varying temperatures. * Work may be performed in a shop, yard, or mobile service vehicle. * About Great Western Trailer Great Western Trailer (GWT) is a growing Semi-Trailer Sales, Leasing, Rental, and Service company with 10 locations across 8 states.
