DESCRIPTION The Jim-Bern Company is looking for an exceptional person to join our team. As a Leasing Agent, you will work closely with the Property Manager and other employees to take excellent care of our existing tenants and attract new tenants. This job description sets forth the principal responsibilities of the Leasing Agent but does not detail every specific part of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: * Promptly responding to leasing leads and thorough follow up with prospective renters. * Scheduling leasing appointments and showing available townhomes to prospective renters. * Preparing leases and scheduling move-in appts. with future tenants. * Tenant relations - respond to questions and maintenance requests from existing tenants and renew leases. * General office administration. * Work with our property management software. SKILLS AND EDUCATION * Solid organization skills. * Detail oriented. * Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Valid MN Drivers License * Property management software experience a strong plus. * High school diploma or equivalent required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS You must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to, walking the entire property, climbing 2 flights of stairs to show units, lifting a minimum of 25 pounds, and using the telephone and computer.
