SC Labs is the largest multi-state laboratory bringing together the industry's most reputable testing labs. SC Labs, founded in 2010, is one of the cannabis industry's oldest licensed testing labs and the first to develop a national hemp testing panel. The company is licensed and accredited in California, Oregon, Colorado, Michigan, and Arizona. The combination brings together three of the longest standing and most respected cannabis and hemp testing organizations in the U.S. and forms the foundation of a national testing network. The combination will bring value to both the hemp and cannabis industries, ranging from access to a broader range of testing resources, improved data delivery, innovative science, instrument redundancy and increased testing capacity, and improved operations to accelerate turnaround times. Position Summary: We are currently searching for a new Account Executive for Cannabis who will cover the State of California. This position will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the acquisition and expansion of high-value clients. This individual is expected to bring a strong, pre-existing book of business and leverage their network to identify and close new opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic seller with deep industry expertise and a consultative approach to client management. This position will work remotely and be responsible for covering the State of California (preference given to applicants who reside in the State of CA). Schedule: this role is classified as a Full-time, exempt position Compensation: Base salary plus variable commission. Total compensation package approximately $135K. Negotiable based on experience and relevant book of business. Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition & Growth: * Leverage your existing book of business to generate new revenue opportunities. * Identify, pursue, and close strategic accounts with high growth potential. * Conduct thorough client needs assessments and tailor solutions to meet business objectives. Relationship Management: * Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term partnerships. * Regularly engage with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers. Sales Strategy & Execution: * Develop and execute territory or vertical-specific sales plans. * Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, customer success) to support sales cycles and enhance customer experience. * Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM hygiene. Market & Industry Insight: * Stay ahead of industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activity. * Provide feedback to leadership and product teams to inform strategic initiatives. Qualifications Experience: * 7+ years of B2B sales experience required , preferably in food, natural products, dietary supplements, or beverage industries. * Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas and KPIs. * Demonstrated ability to close complex, high-value deals. * Experience managing enterprise-level clients and long sales cycles. Book of Business: * A relevant, transferrable book of business with active client relationships is required. * Ability to generate immediate revenue from existing contacts. Skills: * Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills are required. * Executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly accountable. Required Education: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
