Job Summary: The inside trade sales consultant is responsible for being the first point of contact for customers when visiting or inquiring at the showroom. They work with customers by effectively demonstrating products and services while displaying excellent customer service and professionalism both in the showroom and over the phone. The role primarily supports the outside Trade Sales team. Schedule and Availability: * Weekdays during normal business hours from 8am to 5pm * Some overtime as required and approved by management * Some after-hours events and as required by management Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Answer and accurately direct customer calls for both internal and external Trade customers by asking leading questions and pre-qualifying * Prepare takeoffs and estimates for Trade customers and Outside Sales Representatives * Qualify call-in and walk-in customers to distribute leads for Trade Outside Sales Representatives * Follow a structured sales process and deliver project quotation and cost detail as well as upsell potential customers with value added propositions * Administer, verify, and communicate accurate product and customer information by researching needs/questions with customers, Service, Project Managers, Outside Sales Representatives, and Management * Provide administrative support to Outside Sales Representatives and Management * Performs other duties as necessary or assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of construction industry * Ability to multitask, managing multiple applications at any given time Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mathematical and Reasoning Skills * Ability to accurately manage and schedule leads as requests come in * Ability to understand and deliver on customer needs * Ability to read and interpret blueprints Computer Skills: * Must be proficient with Microsoft suite * Ability to learn and utilize proprietary Pella software programs and applications and other business critical applications Communication Skills: * Ability to answer phone calls and website inquiries and accurately respond to customer needs in a timely manner * Ability to verbally present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and the general public * Comfortable interacting with architects/designers, builders/contractors, and homeowners Physical Requirements: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, type or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. * The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, or crouch. * Must be able to sit for long periods of time Work Environment * Work is primarily conducted onsite * The noise level for this position is usually moderate * Work is performed in a communal, open office space EOE Statement Pella of Oklahoma provides a working environment free of discrimination and harassment.
