Burger's Ace Hardware is currently hiring a retail sales associate for our Shaker Heights location. We are looking for someone with a high level of customer service and savvy sales skills. You should be able to manage multiple tasks at once and be highly organized, since our retail location is often busy and fast-paced. Our ideal candidate should be friendly and enjoy working with people. If you're passionate about sales and want to work in an exciting retail environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities/Ideal Candidate Qualifications: * Previous hardware experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of various hardware-related categories and products (plumbing, fasteners, electrical, etc.) is a plus. * Previous retail experience preferred, but not required. * Customer service skills: provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor. Welcome and engage with customers upon their entrance; answer customer questions and provide product recommendations based on their needs. * Assist customers with in-store services such as making keys, mixing paint, cutting pipe/chain, etc. * Stay up-to-date on current store promotions and discounts offered. * Telephone skills: answer phones promptly and professionally. Assist customers with any questions they may have over the phone. * Computer skills: applicants must possess basic computer skills. This position will require occasional use of the computer to complete tasks such as checking warehouse stock and special order information. * Inventory and merchandising: assist with weekly order deliveries by sorting and stocking merchandise in an efficient and organized manner. * Organization/cleanliness: help maintain a clean and organized store. Replenish and face stock as needed.
