Gerlinger Steel & Supply is a multigenerational family business founded in 1929. We offer a relaxed, yet safety conscious workplace in our two facilities, Redding and Woodland, CA. We hope to be the company where you can make a career. Our outside sales covers areas from the Southern Oregon border to San Jose. With knowledge of metal sales and fabrication, our sales representatives work to bolster customer service for the needs of our current customers and build relationships with prospective and new customers. * Must be bondable which means trustworthy and reliable, with no criminal record resulting from fraudulent or dishonest behavior. Must have and maintain a valid California driver license and a clean driving record. * Clear and professional communication via all mediums (i.e. phone, email, messaging) in the English language, Bilingual preferred * Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, discounts, percentages, and able to convert fractions to decimals and decimals into fractions * Conversant in computer operations, spreadsheet, and word processing programs. Ability to learn and use all other software and computing products assigned. 35wpm minimum typing speed. * High level of customer service and interpersonal skills which includes establishing and maintaining rapport with customers and generates interest in offerings * Construction or fabrication background preferred * Experience reviewing drawings and plans preferred * Fluent in written and spoken English, Bilingual is a plus All job offers will be contingent upon the candidate passing a physical, drug test, and background check.
