Summary We seek an amazing individual who likes to work hard and have fun. AK Material Handling Systems seeks a detail-oriented Inside Sales Specialist to join our Sales Team. This role will be responsible for the timely answering of customer calls, selling products to businesses and individuals (both in person and over the phone), addressing and resolving customer order issues, and answering product or order inquiries according to company policy and procedure. Key Responsibilities : * Answer phone calls, e-mails, and walk-ins on time to satisfy customer requests and issues. * Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database. * Build and maintain customer relationships. * Understand pallet rack basics to provide stock quotes to customers. * Quote standard and custom requests, excluding engineered orders and installations. * Quote freight for basic less-than-truckload and truckload shipments, estimate delivery date. * Work with the Warehouse Team and Accounting Team to fulfill customer requests. * Attend three educational hours annually, including webinars, workshops, and other approved training. * Qualifications : * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of 2 years of customer service or project-related experience (experience in distribution/warehouse is a plus). * Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively. * Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure. * Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize workload. * Detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities. * Experience with Apple technology (Mac, Numbers, Pages) preferred. * Reliable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
