Full description of the position
CHIEF OBJECTIVES OF THIS POSITION: Work with existing accounts to increase the total amount of business each account does with Wizard Studios each year. Accounts are defined as venues, and the clients acquired through the venues. This position will work with existing and recurring clients to drive revenue into the company. The focus of this job is to build on the relationships established through venue introductions. Initiative, coupled with a competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite ever-changing conditions, is key to achieving the performance objectives of this job. This role involves innovation and creativity in generating ideas for quick response to rapidly changing environmental and organizational conditions. Decision-making is centered on implementing practical, timely solutions that drive sales and revenue growth. The job requires getting things done quickly, handling a variety of activities, and consistently pursuing new business opportunities with established accounts. Self-assurance and the confidence to purposely drive toward results while constantly problem-solving, engaging the commitment of others, and closing sales are essential. The account manager must be proactive in identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the satisfaction and loyalty of both new and existing clients. Key Accountabilities*: * Drive revenue and close sales. * Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals. * Provide revenue projections. * Provide strategic counsel, becoming a "trusted advisor" to clients by recommending best practices and aligning with their goals and objectives. * Liaise with clients and the production team to ensure deliverables. * Respond quickly to new customer inquiries. Related Tasks*: * Learn and understand the company's offerings, mission, and vision. * Lead job intake calls for new and existing clients. * Organize and attend site visits as necessary. * Develop and write client proposals. * Follow SOPs to ensure seamless event progression. * Deliver excellent customer service, setting an example for others. * Make informed decisions and implement solutions promptly. * Ensure billing accuracy and review with clients to finalize. * Facilitate information during departmental meetings (Production, Operations, etc.). * Conduct pre- and post-event meetings for feedback and improvements. * Oversee deliverable deadlines and contractual assets, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. * Drive new business and develop relationships with existing customers through inbound and outbound communication. * Manage day-to-day client contact, relationships, and expectations within budgets and timeframes aligned with company core values. * Establish effective relationships across multi-disciplinary teams. * Ensure that creative, production, and operations teams understand client requirements and perspectives and that the final output aligns accordingly. * Develop business relationships with key industry decision-makers. * Stay abreast of industry and competitive trends. * Use Slack, Gmail, and video calls for event logistics and operations communication. * Manage tasks and sales pipeline using Copper CRM. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree preferred * Required 5+ years' experience in event sales or event management. * 2 years minimum experience in event or venue coordination. * 2 years minimum experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. * Outstanding customer service and interpersonal experience, capable of building rapport and fostering relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups. * Ability to read contracts, understand SOWs, and create quotes. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Excellent listener and communicator (verbal and written) * Excellent time management skills. * Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. * Ability to multitask and keep the team focused on critical objectives. * A working knowledge of Google Office Suites. * Ability and willingness to learn essential software: FLEX Rental Solutions & Asana. * Ability and willingness to learn the essentials of Audio Visual production, Lighting, and Fabrication. * Understanding of AV equipment is a plus. * Understanding of various Creative Services/Fabrication, ie Carpentry, Millwork, Metal Work, Sculpting, Painting, etc. a plus. * A strong desire to learn and grow with the company.
