Role Overview We are seeking a Glazing Estimator and Sales Professional who will play a pivotal role in driving our success from project inception to completion. This position combines technical estimating expertise with the ability to develop and nurture client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of glazing systems, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive sales mindset. Key Responsibilities * Technical Estimating: * Perform detailed blueprint reviews and accurate material take-offs. * Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to develop competitive project estimates. * Prepare and present bid proposals, including value engineering options. * Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and contractual negotiations. * Conduct post-project variance analyses to improve estimating accuracy. * Sales and Client Relationship Management: * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and general contractors. * Identify new business opportunities and markets for glazing projects. * Participate in job walks and pre-bid meetings to understand project scopes. * Act as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. * Project Coordination: * Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution. * Review and process RFIs, change orders, and shop drawings as required. * Software Proficiency: * Utilize tools like Bluebeam, PartnerPak, and Excel for estimating and project tracking. * Prepare 2D/3D visualizations using AutoCAD, Rhino, or SketchUp for client presentations. Qualifications * Experience: * Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial glazing industry, specializing in estimating and project management. * Proven track record of successful projects in various glazing systems, including curtain walls, storefronts, and all-glass facades. * Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and advanced estimating tools. * Strong understanding of structural and architectural drawings. * Familiarity with glazing materials and systems (e.g., Kawneer, Arcadia, YKK, and Tubelite). * Sales and Communication Skills: * Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders. * Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to market development. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Organizational Skills: * Exceptional time management and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Certifications: * OSHA 10 Certification preferred. * Additional certifications in project management or glazing systems are a plus.
