Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Manager Hours: 37.5 Hours Weekly / Monday-Friday FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: Are you a motivated insurance professional ready to advance your career? We're looking for a dynamic Commercial Lines Risk Advisor to join our team! In this role, you'll maintain and maximize profitable relationships with commercial lines clients while growing the book of business through new sales and renewals. The ideal candidate loves to sell and excels at advising commercial clients on existing and potential risks, providing tailored insurance solutions, building strong customer relationships, and staying ahead of industry trends. Key Responsibilities: Sales: * Identify, qualify, and cultivate commercial insurance opportunities with new clients that align with our ideal client profile, leveraging multiple channels--including in-person meetings, online platforms, phone outreach, and written communication. * Educate clients and prospects on risk exposures, insurance coverages, and limits using our BluePrint365 process. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects by providing timely proposals and ongoing account support. * Respond to inbound inquiries, gather necessary information, and process proposals. * Actively prospect and recommend increased coverage for both new and existing clients, ensuring the best rates and coverages. * Track key metrics to ensure sales targets are met and document activities accurately. * Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, and participate in meetings. * Manage and oversee the renewal process by proactively reviewing, negotiating, and securing policies to ensure timely and accurate renewals that meet agency KPIs for retention and growth while optimizing outcomes based on client needs and market trends. Customer Service: * Anticipate client needs and maintain a friendly, professional environment. * Collect payments and signed documents from new clients, following up as needed. * Review current clients for opportunities to round out accounts. * Maintain detailed records of client interactions. Requirements: * Participate in agency marketing activities and meet with carriers. * Travel locally to clients and carriers; occasional out-of-town travel may be required. * Maintain Continued Education (CE) and participate in ongoing education. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Clear, prompt communication and strong time management skills. * Solid understanding of commercial insurance products, rating, underwriting, and industry processes. * Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. * Problem-solving abilities to manage difficult client calls and resolve issues. * Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency with technology, including CRM software, rating tools, and carrier websites. * Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills. Desirable Software Skillsets: * Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) * AgencyZoom (CRM) * Calendly * Standard Remote Work Platforms: Zoom and Teams Education & Experience: * Valid property and casualty insurance license required. * Minimum of two years of experience as a commercial lines producer. * Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience preferred. * Certified Insurance Councilor (CIC) Designation is a plus. * Completion of carrier producer training a plus. Hours & Compensation: * 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday. * $40,000 draw * Pathway to make $100k+ within three years and $200k+ in six years. * Compensation plan details will be provided during the interview process.
