Overview Join Surface Materials as an Interior Finishes Sales Representative! We are seeking a motivated, dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and demonstrate exceptional skills in business development and account management. The Sales Representative will be passionate about sales, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This Sales Representative role requires a proactive approach to identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with clients, and delivering product presentations that highlight the value of our offerings. As a Sales Representative are you ready to assist our customers in using our products in the design process of interiors? Do you have an aptitude for relationship-building and a passion for design? If so, we want you to join our vibrant team as an Interior Finishes Sales Representative based in the New York City territory. You would be responsible for making sales calls on our customers to present our products and update their design library. You would use your home office as your base. We pride ourselves on being an essential partner to Architects and Interior Designers in the Northeastern United States, providing them with the products & the expert knowledge they need to bring their clients projects to reality. What You 'll Be Doing: Responsibilities - Sales Representative will be presenting our impressive finish products to Architects and Interior Designers - Sales Representative will be updating design libraries with the latest in materials - Sales Representative will be ensuring that our samples are front and center in every designer's library - Sales Representative will be cultivating strong, positive relationships with the creative minds behind stunning interiors -Sales Representative will be managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing the sale -Sales Representative will be setting and conducting impactful appointments with decision-makers -Sales Representative will be staying on top of all sales activities with diligent follow-ups -Sales Representative will be navigating Microsoft Dynamics CRM to keep everything organized and flowing smoothly - Sales Representative will be conducting sales calls to prospective clients to build and maintain customer relationships - Sales Representative will be utilizing sales techniques to negotiate and close deals - Sales Representative will be identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies for business growth - Sales Representative will be managing accounts and providing exceptional customer service - Sales Representative will be analyzing market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies Skills Required of the Sales Representative: - Experience: 2+ years of successful sales experience - An interest in architecture and design - Education: A Bachelor's degree is a plus - A self-starter attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization. - A talent for relationship-building, top-notch communication skills, and the ability to work independently - Proven experience in sales and account management - Ability to negotiate effectively and close sales deals - Strong business development skills - Strong work ethic - Familiarity with sales software for tracking leads and customer interactions - Experience in territory management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $74,083.00 - $85,473.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
