Full description of the position

Description The Catering Sales Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, and leading a dynamic sales team in the catering and events sector. This role requires a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to build and maintain strong team and client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in catering, events, or hospitality sales and will be adept at developing innovative solutions to meet client needs. WHAT YOU 'LL DO * Sales Leadership : Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives, driving revenue growth in catering and event sales in partnership with the Food & Beverage Director. * Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, providing coaching, clear sales processes and support to ensure team members meet and exceed individual and team sales targets. * Hiring: Hire, onboard and train new Sales team members * Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with Internal partners, key clients, vendors, and industry partners to ensure repeat business and referrals. Attending tasting, client meetings and events when appropriate. * Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, stay abreast of industry trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly. * Proposal Development: Oversee the creation of tailored proposals and presentations for clients, ensuring alignment with their needs and the company's offerings. * Event Coordination: Collaborate with the operations and event planning teams to ensure seamless execution of events, from initial client consultation to event day. * Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, including forecasting and tracking sales performance against targets. * Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to senior management. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise * Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality, or a related field; MBA is a plus. * 7+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on catering, events, or hospitality. * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a sales team. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. * Knowledge of market trends and the competitive landscape in the catering and events industry. * Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in luxury or high-end catering and events. * Established network within the hospitality and events industry.
